The First Call

Thursday around 5 p.m. we got our first call to take children! It was a sibling group of three little boys... 4, 3, and 1! They asked us if we would take all three, one or two of them. Prior to getting our license we decided that we didn't want to split a sibling group if at all possible. So, the idea of taking one or two wasn't an option. And we decided that having a group of three boys for our first placement would be a little overwhelming. Needless to say, we said no to the placement. We both feel confident we made the right choice. There will be more calls. :) On a happy note, they were able to find a home that took all three boys.
